SUMMARY:2016 Journey of the Moon
DESCRIPTION:In the coming year\, we will be exploring and experiencing the tides of the Moon\, through ritual\, discussion and meditation. At the Full and Dark and/or New Moon\, we will either hold an open ritual (below) or post a meditation or guided visualization (sent via email)\, opening the doors to a greater understanding of our sister planet.  We will post full details of each event about two weeks in advance. \nOpen Events—all are welcome: \nJanuary 9th (Saturday): Dark/New Moon.  4th Quarter in Capricorn; New Moon at 8:31PM EST.  This is the end of the Long Nights Moon and the beginning of the Wolf Moon. We will discuss work appropriate to Dark\, New and Full Moons\, and lay out our plans for the year’s work. The ritual will span the Dark Moon into the New Moon. Gather at Faerewood\, 6:30PM \nJanuary 23rd (Saturday): Full Moon in Leo.  We welcome the Wolf Moon\, the Silver Moon Energy\, and journey to Castle Arianrhod behind the North Star.  Experience the energy of one of the most well-known Moon Goddesses.  Gather at Faerewood\, 6:00PM \nMay 21st (Saturday): Full Moon Spring Revels.  Full Moon in Sagittarius.  Dance the Maypole and plant the seeds of your intention\, to be watered in by the full moon energy!  Games\, feasting\, bonfire and a house concert with Sharon Knight and Winter!  $20 suggested donation. Gather at Faerewood\, 3:30PM \n► June 4th (Saturday): Dark Moon.  4th Quarter in Gemini; New Moon at 11:00PM.  We will work with the energy of the Mutable Grand Cross to prepare for the changes to come.  Gather at Faerewood\, 7:00PM’ \nJune 19th (Sunday): Full Moon and Litha Celebration.  Full Moon in Sagittarius\, Rose Moon.  This is the Full of the Sun and Full of the Moon.  We celebrate the anniversary of the consecration of our Holly Chalice at the peak of the Waxing Year.  Gather at Faerewood\, 5:00PM \nOctober 15th (Saturday): Full Moon in Aries.  This is the Blood Moon.  We will enact the Drawing Down of the Moon.  Gather at Faerewood\, 7:00PM \nOctober 29th (Saturday):  Dark Moon and Samhain Ritual.  Greet your beloved ancestors as we open the gates to the Summerland.  Gather at Faerewood\, 6:00PM \nIf you need directions to Faerewood\, please contact us.
