DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to our Lughnasadh public ritual!  Join us as we honor the first fruits of the Season and honor the sacrifice of Tailtue and Lugh Lamhfada. \nWho: Hosted Jointly by Keepers of the Holly Chalice and Grail of the Birch Moon – both Covens of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel (Check out https://www.sacredwheel.org/ )\nWhen: July 30th\, 2023 2:00pm\nWhere: Faerewood in Harford County\, MD (directions and address available after registering for free on Eventbrite ) \nHow can I Participate?\nPlease register for free using Eventbrite (Grail of the Birch Moon Events https://shorturl.at/bjS49). \nPlease note: this event is capped at 30 participants so that all may enjoy the space comfortably. \nThis Ritual is about the sacrifice of ancient Celtic Gods\, Tailtiue and Lugh Lamhfada.  We ask you to honor them by bringing a Token as an offering.  This physical token should represent a significant sacrifice someone else made for you.  It can be as simple as the name of the person written on paper\, a physical photo\, or an object (all tokens may be retrieved after the ritual). \nPlease also bring a dish to share at the feast following the ritual.  We especially appreciate dishes that include grains.  We ask that you not bring desserts or alcoholic beverages. \nRitual robes are welcome\, but attire should be comfortable for being outside for an extended time.  Please use sunscreen. Bug/tick repellent will be available if needed.  We recommend wearing sturdy shoes to protect your feet.  Phones should be left outside the ritual space if possible\, silent mode if not. \nA ritual outline will be provided and reviewed before the ritual.

DESCRIPTION:Honoring the Beloved Dead \nJoin us in November as we celebrate Samhain\, the end of the witches’ year. The last of the bonefire sabbats\, as the harvest is finished and the earthen surface falls into sleep for the coming colder days ahead.  It is at this time when the Gods and our beloved dead are at their closest\, while the veils are thin.  It is a time to seek protection\, messages\, and auguries. \nWe traditionally gather between the calendar Samhain\, on October 31 and the astrological one\, on November 7th. The focus of the ritual is to honor the Ancestors and the Gods of old\, while sitting with them in sacred space. Harnessing the energy of the night\, we will work some spellcrafting as well to keep with us throughout the year. \nPlease bring ritual robes (if you have one) and food to share during the post ritual potluck.
