SUMMARY:Herbs for Magick with Tintalle Foxwood
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an afternoon of magical herbalism. This workshop is an experiential opportunity to delve into the broad subject of magical herbalism for people who are interested in plant magic and is designed to empower and ignite those seeking a deeper connection with the green ones. This course is a combination of lecture with hands on experiential modalities. Participants will receive handouts and recipes as well learn how to create at least three herbal preparations to take home. Topics include: \n\nMaking a flower essence\nCreating a plant infused oil\nCreating a healing and magical salve\nAn herb walk of the land\nConnecting with the genii loci\nPreparing magical herbal infusions for internal and external use\nThe role of the homunclulus in magical practice\nSome materia medica\nWildcafting tips\nSustainability concerns\n\nCost of the course is a suggested donation of $35-50 sliding scale and includes a $5.00 donation to cover supplies. We have a practical space limit of 25 people.Tintalle Foxwood is a Clinical Herbalist\, artist\, traditional Celtic Witch of the Foxwood Temple of the Old Religion\, and a long time apprentice and practioner of Faery Seership. One of Tintalle’ s first jobs after leaving the United States Army did not offer health insurance- igniting her journey into herbal medicine. Since then she abandoned her pursuit of becoming a psychologist and planted seeds to become an herbalist. She holds a Master’s of Science in Therapeutic Herbalism from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly known as Tai Sophia) as well as a Post Master’s Certificate in Clinical Herbalism. A permaculturalist\, Tintalle is committed to using and working with locally grown\, ethically harvested herbs wherever possible. She is a firm believer in herbal medicine as the people’s medicine\, honoring the inherent wisdom of herbs in supporting the body and our ancestral connections to earth based healing.
